DESCRIPTION:
Tractography protocol definition: ILF was seeded in the middle and inferior temporal gyri to account for the expansion of the temporal cortex in the human brain compared to the macaque (Latini et al., 2017; Roumazeilles et al., submitted). Avcoronal plane in middle and inferior temporal gyrus is used as a target. For both protocols, exclusion masks where placed axially through the brainstem, coronally through the fornix, axially through the cingulum bundle posterior to the corpus callosum and through the entire frontal cortex. In addition, the seed mask of MdLF served as an exclusion mask for ILF and vice versa, and the ILF target mask was used as an exclusion mask in the MdLF. Additionally, for the ILF, a coronal exclusion mask was placed in the in the centrum semiovale and an axial exclusion mask
covering the WM of the SMG was used. (Warrington et al., NeuroImage, 2020)
