Supplementary Fig. 1B: Effect of light pulse parameters on fMRI activity

DESCRIPTION:
Results of one preliminary fMRI session for monkey C, in which M1 forelimb region was optogenetically stimulated with different light pulse conditions (4 runs for each condition), condition a (left, 10 pulses of 5-ms duration at 10 Hz, interleaved with 1-s interval), condition b (middle, 10 pulses of 5-ms duration at 20 Hz with 0.5-s interval), and condition c (right, 25 pulses of 2-ms duration at 50 Hz with 0.5-s interval). The light intensity was 15 mW. Z-statistic color maps (stimulation versus no-stimulation, P < 0.001, uncorrected, two-tailed one-sample t-test) obtained in the stimulation site (upper) and cerebellar cortex (lower) with the three conditions.
